Social Science

We believe in the power of the humanities and social sciences. Social analysis is important in order to find out what goes wrong, where there is room for improvement, what wishes and fears exist, and which approaches might be promising. It is also about developing the right question for a problem (social coexistence) and reflecting on the process.

What can the humanities and social sciences do to develop transformative utopias? Are you concerned with approaches such as inter- and transdisciplinarity, transformative sciences, futurology, or quite fundamentally topics such as sociology of the city, the community, sustainability culture, or transformation management? Welcome to the C20!

An example: Work together with us on the vision of a 'creative village in the city'. Explore its implementation; analyse the mental and built environment into which the future of the ALTEN MU can be inserted or can be inserted. It is, of course, only one example. And there are so many exciting approaches that we don't come up with ourselves, but perhaps you do. Let's talk about it!

Relevant subject areas and topics: Demography, cultural studies, transformation management and transformative sciences, political science, social psychology, geography, sociology, policy strategies, actor network theory, systems theory - wow, everything is exciting!
